Privacy Policy — Broadcast Cam

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Broadcast Cam ("we," "us," "our") is a video production app developed by Patrido Multimedia. This Privacy Policy explains what information Broadcast Cam collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers the Broadcast Cam Android app, Broadcast Cam Studio Director, Broadcast Cam Multicam Desktop, and this website (broadcastcam.app).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:

  • your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account;
  • your country, state/province and phone number, and confirmation that you are 18 or older (entered by you during first-time account setup);
  • a unique user ID that links your account across the app, desktop apps and website.

We never see or store your Google password.

1.2 Using the app without an account (Live Guest)

You can join someone else's live production as a Live Guest without creating an account. To make that work securely, the app creates an anonymous, random sign-in ID on your device. When you join a session we store the display name you type, that anonymous ID, a device identifier (see 1.4) and the time you joined, so the Host can see who is connected and can remove a guest if needed. This information is kept only for that session's record.

1.3 Subscription and payment information

Subscriptions and one-time purchases (including Lifetime Access) are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We store which plan you hold, its status and renewal/expiry dates, and the Google Play purchase reference needed to verify it.

1.4 Device information

We store an app-specific device identifier (Android ANDROID_ID) to prevent free-trial abuse, to enforce the device/seat limits of paid plans, and to stop a guest who was removed by a Host from rejoining that session. It does not identify you personally.

1.5 Camera, microphone and local network

Broadcast Cam is a video production tool. With your permission, the app uses your camera(s), microphone, USB/UVC cameras you connect, and your local Wi-Fi network (to find and connect to other Broadcast Cam devices and NDI® sources on the same network, for example Wireless Camera and Multicam).

We do not record or store your video or audio on our servers. Your video and audio leave your device only when you choose:

  • to live stream to a destination you select (for example YouTube, Facebook, Twitch or a custom RTMP server);
  • to connect to a Studio Director or another Broadcast Cam device (Field Reporter, USB Cam, Wireless Camera);
  • to take part in a Live Guest session. Live Guest audio and video are relayed in real time through our media server (LiveKit) so everyone in the session can see and hear each other; they are not recorded by us.

Recordings and WorkShop sessions are saved on your device only.

1.6 Session and connection data

To set up live connections we temporarily store session IDs, access codes (stored in protected form) and technical connection data (WebRTC signaling and network relay details). This data is used only to establish and manage the connection.

1.7 Connected streaming accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Twitch)

If you connect a YouTube, Facebook or Twitch account, we receive an access token from that service so the app can create and manage live broadcasts on your behalf, read your live chat while you are live, and show the channels or Pages you can stream to. We use this access only to provide those features at your request. You can disconnect at any time in the app, or revoke access in your Google, Facebook or Twitch account settings.

Broadcast Cam's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or let humans read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or where required by law. Broadcast Cam uses YouTube API Services; by connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Information

  • To create and maintain your account and verify your plan.
  • To provide the app's features: capture, recording, live streaming, local device connections, Live Guest sessions.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
